Pack 802 Quote

ABOUT US
Pack 802 is chartered by Lantana Community Church and is part of the Frontier Trails District which is part of the Longhorn Council of the Boy Scouts of America. Lantana Pack 802 primarily serves students of E.P. Rayzor, Adkins, and Blanton Elementary schools in the Denton ISD and was created in August of 2002. This is why the Pack number was chosen to be 802.

Our Pack serves Kindergarten through 5th grade girls and boys - Our Lions (Kindergarten), Tigers (1st Grade), Wolf (2nd Grade), Bear (3rd Grade), and Webelos (4th-5th Grades) meet as individual groups known as Dens one or two times a month and then all Dens meet together as one unit, the Pack, once monthly. This allows Scouts to work on age-appropriate activities with their grade-level peers and also provides an opportunity for children of all ages to work together and learn from one another. Cubs wear a uniform for their Scouting activities and earn patches, pins, and belt loops to recognize their achievements both within the Pack and in the community as a whole. Cubs enjoy spending time with friends and family while participating in events such as camping, field trips, derbies. Community service and team-building are also important aspects of the program. Safety, be it in the home, while hiking, boating, or on the archery range, is introduced at all levels of Cub Scouting as are the ideas of compassion, faith, and reverence. We welcome Scouts of all faiths and encourage them to explore their faith thoroughly with their families.

As outlined on our homepage, Cub Scouting incorporates the values of citizenship, compassion, cooperation, courage, faith, health and fitness, honesty, perseverance, positive attitude, resourcefulness, respect, and responsibility. Each of these principles are introduced to the Scouts in a variety of ways while participating in the Cub Scout program and all while they're having a great time with their friends and families.
